Investing in our Youth

Our Vision to make a difference: We lead by example offering unique & fun ways to save on natural resources to our guests and  provide education to our staff keeping awareness high. As the world population nears 8 billion people, water, air and fuel consumption is mission human critical. Recycling is an easy solution: In simple terms, converting waste materials into useable objects. Recycling programs will reduce the consumption of energy, cut down on air & water pollution while lowering green house gas emissions. This is a focal point in Kehn influenced properties.

Our Investment in personal development: Making a difference by providing individual hand crafted performance based programs to our valued employees: Skill Training and Certification - College Tuition Reimbursement - Financial Wellness Seminars -  Mental Health and Addition Counseling - Leadership/Management Development - Child Care Contributions

Kehn Charity of choice:  Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation We are a force of healing and hope for individuals, families and communities affected by addiction to alcohol and other drugs. Our Vision - Together, we will overcome addiction. Committed to challenging the stigma, stereotypes and pessimism long associated with drug and alcohol addiction. Our fundamental addiction stigma-smashing strategy is to shine a light on people who are in recovery and, in doing so, expose the long-hidden reality that people actually do recover from drug and alcohol addiction; that it’s a chronic disease that can be successfully managed for life; and that it affects individuals who are every bit as moral, productive, intelligent, talented—and humanly flawed—as the next person. http://www.hazeldenbettyford.org

As the General Manager of the Reitz Union Hotel, Chris was able to relate to all of his student employees very effectively. While serving as one of his student managers, I was able to significantly enhance my leadership and people skills as a result of Chris’ exceptional mentoring abilities. In addition to training his staff on how to succeed in the hospitality world, Chris also taught us many life lessons that simply couldn’t be learned in the classroom. I feel more well-rounded as both a student and a manager because of my experience in working with Chris.
